When your screen just turns blue and the computer restarts it's usually because of a virus. I would recommend you download an anti virus on another virus free machine. if you download it on the machine with the virus it may disrupt the download. I would personally recommend norton antivirus internet security. You will have to pay for it, and if you can't just try download the free trial version. After you download the software, scan your infected computed and then remove the viruses.

Because it is big and heavy. If you're using a free trial then download and install Avira Antivirus instead. You will need to use the Norton removal tool first though.
If you have a licence then download and install Norton antivirus netbook edition which is the same package but with the bloat cut out.

you just type the Antivirus name on google like; Norton Internet Security 2010 free download or other Antivirus which one you needed.

please go ahead and download www.symantec.com/nrt ,tool and run this tools and after running this tool please restart the computer and it will remove the norton products completely out of your computer

Bad Norton install. Actually bad Norton. Its causing driver corruption.The fact that it appears only when you insert a cd-r it's just random occurence, it could have happened as well when you would have tried to print something.
Best fix: just get rid of Norton , it's useless anyway. Get a decent antivirus for start. Otherwise uninstall it using the official uninstaller (not by using its uninstaller), run a registry cleaner, install it again using this time a diferent location and hope to gods that this time it won't screw your pc.

hi...some times norton uninstallations create this problem, in which norton also uninstalls some system file like virtual driver file, etc.! u can try these things :

1. use systen restore to restore ur previous settings

2. IF it don't works, reinstall window !

That blue screen sounds like a trick to me. Many viruses and spywares or the websites that distribute them make beleive that they are causing viruses then provide links to fake antivirus and spyware removal programs that actually make your system worst.

Use the Norton to purchased to do a full deep scan of your system. I also like to supplement my Norton by running the free scan at housecall.trendmicro.com when I suspect there might be a problem on my machine that Norton can't fix.
