It is frozen but it is on... what can i do ?
Here's an interesting one! My C-330 has a touch screen calibration problem, and if the unit was in regular operating mode, a re-calibration would be easy. The problem is, Garmin, in their want to get more money out of you for updates to the maps, forces a screen to be shown to "remind you" that you should go to their site and spend $70 for a street update. The only way to get out of that screen is to hit a screen touch button in the bottom right which says "OK". Well Garmin, the screen is out of calibration, and the first thing I see when I try to calibrate is your lousy map update screen which I cannot get rid of. MUST I send it to you and spend the money for a few streets which have been built in the past two "economic slowdown" years? or should I go buy a Tom Tom? Does anybody have a better way?
How can I uplode the new maps in to Garmin C330
You need to reset the unit. At the top of the unit by the screen there is a "finger nail" slot. Use this to pry off the face plate. Under the face plate is a reset button. Press the reset and you should get bact to normal. This info is in the manual, I don't remember where, but I had the same problem and this solved it.
Change gps system from waas to normal.

Hi there,
hopefully your garmin would have come with a USB cable to connect up to your computer, on most devices today this would be the same port that is used for charging the device at home.
Then if you head over to this link (Garmin website) https://my.garmin.com/maps/checkPlugin_updates.htm?
I assume you have a windows PC, here but tell me otherwise.
You'll need to install the plugin which allows garmin to communicate with you device (to find out what model you have, and the current maps stored, as well as what new maps you would require)
If you don't have the USB cable, there is the option to also enter the serial number of your device, likely to be in small print on the back of device somewhere.

If you have the USB cable, you can charge the unit by plugging it into the computer. It will take longer (at least several hours), but it will charge as long as the battery is ok.
