Streetpilot c330 Frozen on.

try resetting the unit from under the frame around the screen which just pops off

Pop the plastic frame around the scree off. There is a little hole now visible that will take a paperclip. This is the reset button.

stop it an try again iut doesnt take 10 hours. could be the website or a problem on your end

just bellow wher it says Garmin there is a small notch...using flat screwdriver take the silver plate off...reset button on right.

you need to buy a memory card the unit wont take that much info.

Problem resolved. It seems to have taken several hours for gps to update.

First, some questions:

A. Is the unit turned on and plugged in via the USB?
B. Is the USB connection active?
C. Have you downloaded the USB drivers to the machine you are using?

You can only load one region on the C330. It will not hold the entire update. That is why you are having problems loading it via Mapsource. There is a way to load the second region onto and SD card for use, though.

You need to use Garmin POI loader to input custom POI. After loading POI's they will show up in "My Favorite" under "Custom POI"

you will need to install the usb driver which should be located on the 2008 disk. When you attach the gps to your computer it should ask where the usb driver is located. If your dvd drive is (D) click browse and go the disk and find usb driver folder. I have purchased the new 2008 disk and had problems with it freezing on loader loading. I then browsed the disk and downloaded and then was able to get to the maps. I did not install it due to it asking what map I want to download. I wanted the whole thing so needless to say I am taking it back to walmart. I hope this helps.
