Look in the base of your scanner. There should be a clip holding and securing the battery.
Check the user's manual. I couldn't find one for your model, but check this one for the Xi3000-BT that replaced your scanner: http://www.totalbarcode.com/download/Xi3000-BT.pdf
The scanner may need to be programmed in order to read the barcodes. If you download the Honeywell userguide for the handheld you can locate that barcodes required to program this for reading these.
Sounds like you need an updated driver for your POS scanner.
Other than that, try checking the scanners setting your software and make sure it is set for 39 and 128 bar codes. There is usually a setting that will specify what codes the scanner is going to read.
You can always shoot an email over to the datalogic guys and see if they have any more input on the situation.
Yes, the HHP HandHeld 2D Image Reader (4410lr131) Handheld can read 2D barcodes. This scanner is designed to read 1D and 2D barcodes, making it a versatile tool for a variety of applications. It is also capable of reading multiple barcode types, including PDF417, Data Matrix, and QR codes.
This is a setting issue of your barcode scanner, the only way to solved the issue is to find the manual and look for the settings that are most likely what you need to display and send data.
Here is the link to the user manual in pdf and a download of the necessary software;
http://www.pos-x.com/download.asp?manufacturer=9&model=32
The software is a zip/rar compressed file so you will need a decrompressor - if you dont have Winrar or Winzip then goto this link;
http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm
and you can download a free trial version.
Extract the file and it should be able to be installed - hopefully the problem was with your cd.
Hope this helps, please ask again if not :)
