MY CHARGER DOESN'T WORK AT ALL WILL THE BATTERY FIT IN ANY OTHER MANUFACTOR'S CHARGER?

Leave the tablet connected to the charger for 5-10 minutes even if doesn\'t work. Then take out the battery and try with master charger and (switch on the tablet) after that, check whether the previous charger is working again or not again. If it doesn\'t show charging sign, then you have to take it to service center to change the charger connector.

you could have a faulty dc jack (where charger plugs in to the laptop)

If possible test with another charger like a car charger if you have one
also try removing the battery plug in the charger and put the battery back in (don't touch the contacts/gold pins)


if it works with other chargers then the charger is bad


if it doesn't work with other chargers charging port/battery/phone is bad

it's hard to find the cpecific model that would fit the device, ant this device doesn't even has a user replacable battery. i suggest you keep it on charger while in your car or if it still under warranty to get it fixed/replaced

pull the batteries out, slam them ******* a solid surface. put 'em in, let 'em charge. if that doesn't bring 'em back buy new bats.also, use a voltmeter to make sure the charger was getting voltage.

Take out battery, clean off the battery and gently clean off the terminals. Put battery back in and try to charge again with your charger. If this doesn't help;

Try another charger to the phone such as a car charger if you have one. If the battery still will not charge;

you may need to get another battery. I suggest you go into your local service provider first, have them use one of their spare batteries that fit into your phone model and see if the battery will start charging.

If it doesn't, you need to have your phone itself looked at instead of the battery.

Try these steps before you spend money on replacing parts needlessly.

check them with a multimeter and see if they are showing at least 12 volts

The rechargeable batteries are no good or a connection in the battery holder is loose.

It may very well be a bad jack but it also could be a bad battery that is not retaining charge. Yes, a bad battery will cause many laptops not to turn on.
1- how does the charger jack fit; is it loose or wiggle when pluged in? or does it fit snugly with no movement when plugged in? If the charger no longer fits snuggly or moves a lot when plugged in, it may very well be a bad dc jack. Not a task for a DIYer but well worth having fixed.

2- Try removing the battery and see it powers on the charger only. Some laptops will not work without a battery and some will. If this is a Gateway, it probably will work without a battery.
