Dr error message

Hello Herb Reinhart - If the range previously displayed DR and now showing F11, it typically indicates that the unit has detected a shorted keypad. Since you have already try resetting the unit by unplugging it and issue persists, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

My Kenmore Elite oven door is locked and I am getting an F93 error message. I have had repairmen here 3 times already to fix the problem. Can you help?

Hello,
The F93 - Maximum oven door lock time exceeded. First thing to try is holding the clear button down for 3-5 seconds sometimes this unlocks the door and then leaves the loc light still on in this case you would open the door and once again hold down the clear to make the loc light clear. If your unit doesnt have a clear button then you would hold the stop button for the same amount of time as described above. If this doesn't work try shutting off the power at your electrical breaker for 7 minutes this usually causes the control to reset in the unit. If you have any further questions or if this does not work to allow you to be able to open the door and clear the error code message me back for further diagnosis. Thanks
Rick

Got F9 on Amana range model ACS3350 while trying to clean oven. The door is locked and got constant beeping with F9 error code. Powered off oven for 10 minutes and powered on, still getting the door...

Shut off the circuit breaker to it for FIVE minutes, then back on. If the problem persists then do the following:

A latch locks the center top INSIDE of the door during cleaning.
Run a piece of semi-stiff, flat object, like a cardboard strip that is in L shape behind the top lip of the door from RIGHT TO LEFT. You may need to push it along with your finger jambed in there when it reaches the latch. With a little push the latch should open.

Try to run the oven, if F9 shows again, press cancel Oven to quiet it. The Lock state is still in place. Move the latch hook manually all the way to RIGHT. Then shut off the circuit breaker for FIVE minutes, then back on. The oven should work ok.

If this fails again try the five minute shut off with the latch in other starting positions.

If none of these work then the latch mechanism, or it's motor is really broken. Replace or ditch and never buy Amana again!

My GE Profile Advantium Microwave Oven runs (and heats) continuously. The only way to stop it from running is to open the door.

Hi

Sounds like a defective door interlock switch or a broken switch mount. If it's not a problem with the door switch or door switch mount you will need to replace the magnetron and the touch pad as well. This will fix your issue.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

If this is an Electrolux oven then F9 relates to micro-processor resets itself. To get this to reset fully its reccomended that you disconnect the unit from the electric supply and then reconnect then retry.

The lock switch is on and door is open-"dr" then "f9" message

Unplug the range and then have someone hold in the door/light button while plugging in the unit again. The locking mechanism should reset itself. Let me know if I can help further.

Waiting to hear from you,

OVEN DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AND NO INDICATORS ARE FLASHING

Yes, one thing you can try is to use a thin piece of strong metal and try to slide the latch over to open the door. You may have to shake the door as you do this. I have seen this done with a credit card. Similar to opening a door that is locked. Let me know how that does. One last ditch effort is to put the oven in self clean mode and let it run it cycle and maybe it will send a message to open the doot at the completion of it's cycle.

Our GE Profile JTP18 keeps flashing "door lock" since we ran a self clean

most of the time a simple fix.... http://www.geappliances.com/search/fast/infobase/10004586.htm
you have to trick the door lock mech into cycling through the cleaning process (takes about 20 seconds)
Print Range - “LOCKED DOOR” flashes in the display

If “LOCKED DOOR” is flashing in the display of your range or oven, and the self-clean cycle has not been selected, follow the steps below to reset your control:

Motorized Switch
    1. With the door open, locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. It will look like a small black post or dowel.
    2. Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off, indicating that the oven believes the door is closed.
    3. While you hold the door jamb switch in this position, complete the following steps.
    4. Press the Clean pad, wait 10 seconds.
    5. When the cycle initiates, press the clear/off or cancel pad immediately to cancel it.
    6. Wait 10 seconds for the display to clear.
    7. The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service.
Manual Switch
    1. Press the Clean pad.
    2. Close the door.
    3. Slide the latch to lock the door.
    4. Hit the cancel button immediately.
    5. Unlock the door.
If the above does not correct the situation, a service technician will need to check your cooking product. To obtain in or out of warranty repair on Major Appliances, you may call 1-800-GE-CARES (800-432-2737) or schedule service online.
