Craftsman Model 139.53919 Door adjustment stop level broken

I have Craftsman Model an garage door opener model 139.53919 with the battery back up. I reset the pin for the out side mounted remote opening box. Since then the garage door does not stop closing, it keeps trying to close and the bar bows up it is pressing down so hard. I checked the safety protocall that is supposed to stop of something in the way. That does not work either. I just keep pushing down. I spend over an hour with the instruction manual trying to set the up and down level. IT will not accept the programming, and my garage clicker for the car no longer helps... any ideas?

Because you had just changed the PIN for the keypad I would remove the battery in it and see if that makes a difference. It's a wild leap I know but.
If that doesn't change anything I think your logic board has failed.

GARAGE DOOR OPENER REMOTE ONLY WORKS IN GARAGE WILL NOT WORK IN DRIVE WAY

1st, try replacing the battery in the remote. If that doesn't work, you will need to replace the logic board on the opener, which is typical in the craftsman openers.

The garage door opens halfway and then stops; it will close completely however

COULD BE A BROKEN SPRING
COULD BE A SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT.

HOW DOES THE DOOR WORK MANUALLY - IF YOU CAN'T LIFT IT NEITHER CAN THE OPENER.

ALSO COULD BE BAD DRIVE GEARS - BUT MOST OFTEN A SPRING 2ND WOULD BE OPERATOR ADJUSTMENT

We just replaced a broken spring (re[laced both sides) on craftsman garage door opener and now the door won't shut all the way. It goes down to about 12" from closing and then goes back up.

YOU COULD HAVE THE WRONG SPRING OR NOT ADJUSTED PROPERLY. YOU COULD HAVE AN OPERATOR ADJUSTMENT PROBLEM.

HOW DOES THE DOOR WORK MANUALLY??

IF IT IS HARD TO PUSH DOWN AT THE BOTTOM - SPRING PROBLEM - IF IT WORKS AND CLOSES VERY SMOOTHLU AND EASILY THEN YOU COULD ADJUST THE DOWN SENSITIVITY - JUST A LITTLE.

Craftsman garage door does not open all the way stops @12 inches

You most likely have a broken door spring. Release the door from the opener and try lifting it by hand. Look above the door for the springs.

Quantam #3212 garage door opener stops beabout 1 foot from top

There are two limit adjustments on the opener. usually the screw show which way to turn if the door needs to be lowered more or raised more. Turn them only about a1/4 turn with each adjustment.

Craftsman 1/2 hp door opens only 8-10'' then stop

Check to see if a garage door spring has broken. Operate the door by hand. If everything seems ok then increase the strength of the "up" force. There is an adjustment on the powerhead to do this.
