You have to download themes that are specific to the screen resolution of your phone. S40 devices uses a different kind of theme in the format of .nth S60 devices however use themes in the format of .sis
You need to download the one that is made for the model of your phone. You may visit mobile9.com or zedge.no to download themes on your pc. You can transfer using the usb data cable provided when you bought the phone, just connect using PC Suite Mode then install the theme. Alternatively, you can transfer the themes on your memory card (through a memory card reader) then apply the themes directly using your phone.
There are certain formats of themes that work with different phones. Like most java phones that are produced by nokia would work with the .thm files, just the same way symbian phones would only recognize the .sis files. In this case, you are trying to use a theme that is not compatible with the phone, the phone cannot recognize the file type and so reads it as an invalid file and then says its corrupted. The only way around this issue is to download a fresh copy of the theme in the compatible format which is .thm and apply it. Hope this was helpful?
