Fallout 3 disc reading/load issues

You may hate me for this but... Delete everything to do with fallout on you xbox the try again.

FIRST GET A HAMMER THEN BANG THAT **** 17 TIMES THEN GO BUY YOURSELF A OTHER ONE.

Well your disc is officially garbage because it's for sure scratched. Don't bother trying to fix your game disc. Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your game to them. They will give you good money for it.

You must finish the original game and type in the code in the reactor. and wake up in the new game

SOME DISC ARE PARTAILLY MELTED WHEN YOU BUY THEM OR GET TO HOT AFTER YOU BUY THEM. IN ALL CASES TRY ANOTHER DISC AS SOON AS THIS HAPPENS TO ENSURE THE LAZER IS READING PROPERLY. do other games work? if not your magnet in your xbox console disk drive may be defective and i would suggest returning it to Microsoft to have them look at it. If other games do work your fallout 3 disk may be severely scratched or the magnetic strip on it may have gotten demagnetized or otherwise damaged and will most likely need to be replaced...sorry

if its glitched you most likey wont be able to get it to work if not try renting fallout 3 and see if it works with the rented one otherwise youll have to delete youre saved game and start over i had to do that with nascar 09 because it glitched me and only when i started over did things work correctly

Fallout 3 freezing is an unfortunately common problem. A lot of people have reported that clearing the game cache on your 360 will fix it, so that's what I would suggest you try first.

To do this:

1. start up your 360, then take out the Fallout 3 game disc.
2. Hold down the A button on the Player 1 controller
3. Put Fallout 3 in your 360, then load the game

If this doesn't fix it, the next thing you could try is to clear the system cache. This will clear the entire cache for your 360, including the automatic updates (though downloaded content, save files, and user dats will be untouched).

To do this:

1. Navigate to System > Memory
2. Highlight the hard disk in the list and press Y
3. Press X, X, LB, RB, X, X

If done right, you should see a message asking, "perform system maintenance?" Proceed with this, and it will clear all the cache data out and revert Fallout 3 back to version 1.0 (it should ask you to update once you load the game)

Hope this helps - I've had my share of frustration with Fallout 3 glitches.

I would download the game to the hard drive and it freezes a lot because its on open world rgp so it has to load a lot.. But if you download Fall Out 3 to your hard drive it will increase load times and reduce freezing.
