    RRoD.

It could mean a different number of things, it could be overheating, it could be a game issue, maybe it could even be a hardware error.

Here it is. The two red lights is a "general hardware failure" but I find most of the time it is the CPU's fault. This happens when the CPU is not kept cool enough so the Xbox shuts down to prevent overheating. Basically it's the same deal as the RROD. To fix it you should do this:

A) Send it to Microsoft for repairs if you're still covered.
B) Send it to a trusted Xbox Repair center. I currently run one called DRAGONF1R3 REPAIRS.
C) Go online and purchase a RROD X-Clamp fix kit. This should come with instructions on how to fix your X-box 360 by yourself and the Hardware you will need.

These are your three best options. If you need more information on my Repair service feel free to e-mail me. (my e-mail is in my description)

I hope I helped you out.

  1. To begin troubleshooting this problem, check if the auto-off feature is turned on. To check if the auto-off feature is turned on, follow these steps:
    1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
    2. In the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Console Settings.
    3. In the Console Settings area, select Auto-Off.
    4. Examine the option to see if it set for auto-off. If it is set for auto-off, change your selection.
  2. If the auto-off feature is not turned on and this is the first time the Xbox 360 console has turned off unexpectedly, let's do a simple test before we continue troubleshooting.

To do this test, turn the Xbox 360 off for about 10 minutes. Then turn the console on and see if the problem occurs again. If the Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly again, make a note of how long the Xbox 360 console is on before the console turns off automatically.
  3. If the auto-off feature is turned off but the problem happens again, check the appearance of the Ring of Light to determine what to do next.
    • The two lights in the left quadrant of the Ring of Light flash red: The internal temperature of the Xbox 360 console may be too high. In this case, turn off the Xbox 360 console, and let it cool down. It may take several hours for the console to cool enough.

Also, make sure that the ventilation openings on the console are not blocked. (For example, the ventilation openings may be blocked if you place the Xbox 360 console on a soft surface, like a bed or a sofa.) Also make sure that the console is not located in a poorly-ventilated place, such as an enclosed bookcase or stereo cabinet. For more information about what to do if the two red lights in the left quadrant on the Ring of Light flash red, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 907533 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907533/ ) Two of the lights on the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console flash red
    • No lights are flashing on the Ring of Light: In this case, we should check the lights on the Xbox 360 power supply for hints on how to fix the problem. A green light indicates that the power supply is correctly functioning.

For more information about the power supply light, click the following article numbers to view the articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 906103 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906103/ ) Troubleshooting your Xbox 360 Power Supply when the light is not illuminated 906102 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906102/ ) Troubleshooting your Xbox 360 Power Supply when the light is orange 906101 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906101/ ) Troubleshooting your Xbox 360 Power Supply when the light is red

there are two posibilitys to your problem it could be either there is something unpluged in your 360 or your could have a virus you should take your 360 apart and check it if it is still under warrenty through microsoft you should send it in to them and let them fix it but if it is out of warrenty then you should get the tools at your nerest radio shack and take it apart and check it out and let me know what happens

360 issues

Two Red Lights

The two left quadrants of the Ring of Light flash red on the front of the Xbox 360 console
This behavior occurs when the internal temperature of the console exceeds the acceptable limits. You may think of this as too hot, overheating, and so on. Make sure the fans are operating and the system has adequate ventilation.

Since you've been inside it's possible that a heatsink or some other part of the cooling system is not working properly or is loose. Check all these!

Good Luck!
