I have a vgn-ar630e with power issues wont do nothing even with ac jack pluguing. no led light.

Sounds like a jack issue. You may need to send the laptop in for service if you cannot replace the power jack yourself.

Hello!!!

Here is a website you can go to if you want to take apart your laptop. Looks like you might need to do some soldering.

Just go to
http://repair4laptop.org/disassembly_sony.html

I don't think they have your model. Probably the closest one would be: Sony VAIO VGN-FZ220
If not you can look for a more similar model. Most laptops are built the same way. I'm sure you are smart and can figure it out.

If you need want to buy a new power jack they cost about a dollar on ebay.

Laptop won't charge

You might need a new battery....you could try removing the battery, plug laptop into ac and restarting. Or you might need a new DC power jack. If you wiggle the cord where it plugs into the laptop, and it starts to charge normally, then the DC power jack needs replacing. http://www.insidemylaptop.com/take-apart-sony-vaio-vgn-s360p-replace-broken-power-jack/
