Check your ground connection to make sure that it is clean and tight. If the connections are good, I would suspect the starter itself.

Won't start, just makes a clicking sound.

The car will not start, just make clicking noise, it can be problem related to weak car battery or faulty starter,When starter gets faulty, it will just make clicking noise,But if battery looses its charge then also same noise will be heard. So first test car battery. It should have 12 volts. If it shows 12 volt, then check the starter and its connections. ------------ For more troubleshooting, click the link below:--- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/car-troubleshooting-tips.html ----------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Plug in cord and just hear clicking noise not connecting to a computer

This means that the WD could is trying to connect to the computer but looses the connection. Try plugging the usb cord in another usb slot on your computer. Or try using another cable. Make sure the WD is not giving out any red led light on the device.

My PC desktop is making a clicking noise

Assuming the 'clicks' are heard when you're on the net...it could be a page in the background updating its 'ad' or auto 'clicking' to another page (within the main page on a different frame). This happen alot on hotmail pages ads using 'Flash'.

You can turn the volume off while surfing until you need to listen to something & turn your volume back on. (I do)

Hope this throws some light on the issue
Good Luck!

Hard disk clicking

Opening up the disk will render it unless you have access to a 'clean room' - which most of us don't.

However, I've been able to get 'clicking' drives to work by repeatedly connecting and reconnecting it to the USB and / or power source.

Sometimes it will 'catch'. Sometimes a nice 'tap' on it helps too.

Most of the time, it's spacejunk though.

HDD keeps clicking

The clicking noise is the sound of the read/write heads going to the home position. The arm or bracket the heads are mounted on make the noise when they hit up against the equivalent of a *door stop*. This is the drives attempt to reorient itself when it can read something where it expects to find it. As you have guessed its probably a mechanical fault and definitely not repairable.
