I have a trio outdoor light show wire tree. The big tree have two complete strands that doesn't kight up at all. The medium tree have 3 strands that doesn't work. I opened each one of the balls and it seems like that the water got inside where the LED lights are. I guess the wax they put in it to protect the water from getting didn't work. There's a lot of corrosion inside. Does anybody knows what kind of wax they used in case i open it and try to replace the LED lights? That way I can put some wax in it to protect them from water. I am a little upset when I got a response from Gemmy telling me that there's no replacement parts for it and no manuals. Can anybody help? Thanks, Brian

    Hi there,
After I wrote this last January I took the trio inside the house and opened each one of the balls that doesn't work. I was able to solder out some of the bad LED lights and consolidate two, three and four strings into one or two. So far it's working good but there is another string that went out when we set it out before Thanksgiving, so we hid it under until after the Holidays so I can look at it again. How much will you buy the box for and what kind of light will you use for it? Just in case we decided we had enough of it. The neighborhood kids love those trees, specially when the music is playing. If you still have your trees, I would love to buy your main box (the big one).

    Hi there again,
Wasn't sure if my response to you went through. Anyway, after I wrote my problem last January, I took the trio trees inside the house and opened each ball on the string that was out. I was able to take some of the bulb that is not completely corroded and consolidated two, three or four strings into one or two strings. I think I cut a couple of strings that are completely messed up and taped the wire separately. So far the trio still working nicely and after we set it up before Thanksgiving, we realized that another string went out and 2 more balls are not working. But othere than that it is hardly noticeable that it is missing a couple of strings. How much would you pay for it in case if we decide we had enough of it and what kind of light will you use for it? The kids in the neighborhood love the trio specilaly when the music is on. Brian

    Hi,

I need to replace the remote for my trio outdoor light show from Gemmy. Anyone know where I can get one?

There are a few places you may be able to find a replacement remote for your Trio Outdoor Light Show from Gemmy:
  1. Gemmy Industries: You can try contacting Gemmy Industries directly to see if they have replacement remotes available for your specific model.
  2. Online retailers: You may be able to find a replacement remote for your Trio Outdoor Light Show on websites like Amazon, eBay, or Walmart.
  3. Specialty lighting stores: There may be specialty lighting stores in your area that carry replacement parts for Gemmy products, including remotes.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Have you tried one blinker at beginning , closest to where the main plug in is?

We bought the Gemmy Christmas tree trio last year. Just set it up today and the light show effects will not reset. Can't find the instruction manual

Press reset on the top of the main unit under the middle tree. The light will blink. While it's blinking, use a pin to press in the reset button on the back of the remote. The blinking light should go out, and you should be good to go. FWIW - I just looked for almost an hour before I found this answer today on-line. It worked for us.

Gemmy trio light show tree - plugged it in and one bulb flashed bright. Doesn't work at all now. Not sure what to do?

i bough mine used it came with a remote. after you plug it in you have to push the reset button on the big box untill the led on top flashes then push the rest button on the back of the remote(with batteries already installed of course). The led on the box will stop. then turn remote to on and push a button. that should do it, I hope.

Gemmy light show lollipops not working right

The gemmy light shows are amazing when working correctly. BUT that may be for one season only. I bought the white trio set of Christmas trees after one season the trees turned brown, tried to get in touch gemmy. Two days later my reply was I improperly stored my trees. All the other set of trees I've seen turn brown after one season. As far as I know gemmy quit making the white trees. Long story short they did't warranty my trees, as for the lollipops 4 or 5 light systems aren't interchangeable, I tried to replace the led in my 5 light system with a led from a 4 light system the led worked but wouldn't sync. When trying to make repairs you must use parts from alike sets of the same year models, alike models from different years don't work. Also when changing led circuit boards solder the wires the way you take them off or you'll short the board out. If you have bad sets of lights you can make repairs if they are alike.
