push the reset botton on the box in the tree, on the back if the remote there is a reset bottom, push the reset botton on the tree until the light start to blick then push the reset botton on the remote, thats what i did to mine
Maybe the problem is condensation. The globe gets all fogged up and the snow pellets start sticking to the plastic and it just looks like a mess. Temperature might be less of a concern where you are, but it is something to consider. I had briefly thought of putting something like a hair dryer in line with the main fan to keep the inside temperature up. But it turned out to be more of a problem than I wanted to deal with. there is a waterproof spray that is used on tents walmart ,gander ,bass or any outdoors or hunting store sells it but look for seam rips or at weight and tie lines for rips, and patch or sew damage
I am not sure if you found the answer or not. We bought one tonight and did not have the instructions either. What I figured out is the top button will changed from Ct to Cd. The Ct is the time, so you would put in military time for hours min and seconds. The Cd is the date. The first is the last 2 digits of year, then month, then day. I believe the bottom button changed the information and then the top button would change to the next. Hope this helps. Joey

The best thing to do it to take it to a local model shop. They will know someone that fixes them, and in fact that is the advice from the makers. They disown them after 12 months and just call them 'discontinued'.

The problem with Gemmy is that 12 months after a release they cease all support as though it never existed!
Please don't just replace items, "because you might as well and it MIGHT fix it".
There is very little practical help, but a few observations and guesses. Does it really have a battery pack? If so they will likely be rechargeable batteries, or you can add a set of Lithium Energizer. However in my experience they are not battery powered but have a mains adapter and a lead. I can guess the lighting, would guess there is a bulb and a motorised colour wheel and a bunch of fibre optic cables going from the base up the pole to the sign. If the 'bulb' is an LED Module, that will be harder, but an incandescent bulb can be tested with a multimeter.
Or take it to a local model shop, they will know a Gemmy repairer.
