You will have to pull the oven dorr up and out again, it might be a little hard to pull but the door didn't went in straight and it's preventing the hinge from closing. go to repairclinic.com for an ilustration on how the door and hinges fit in place.

OvenDoor came partly off hinges. One side only.

Most oven doors are made to be removed and on most, the hinges have locking clips which hold the hinge so you can remove the door. Have a close look at the hinge which is still in the door and see if the hinge that came out is the same. You may have to get someone to hold the hinge in place while you refit the door.

How to put oven door back on after removing!

Although very tight (because the oven is only 1 yr old) i managed to get the hinges into the open position, then slide the door into position on the oven and close the door. The hinges did go back and lock as they should but I struggled for almost 30 mins before success.

Can't get the oven door back on. it was sitting

As you said they are spring loaded so be careful. You will need to pull on the hinge, which takes some muscle and you should see a small hole to put a pin or small screwdriver in to hold the hinge out. When this is in place on both the hinges you can put the door back on. This is the most common hinge style on Wpl or there may be tabs on the tops of the hinges to hold the hinge out. If the door still does not close all the way after getting the hinges all the way on you will need to take the door apart and replace the hinge/spring assy. Thanks for rating me after you read this.

Door does not fully close Door will not rest in the half open position Door looks low since we took it off for cleaning

It sounds to me as though you have not relocated the hinges back properly in the hinge guides. I suggest you remove the door again, and relocate the hinges, make sure that you have them all the way in the hinge guides.

Replaced hinge on smeg double oven but now oven doesn't heat

I have the SMEG F170-5 and had this problem after cleaning and replacing the door. It wouldn't heat unless I banged it shut. This action made the internal switch trigger, so I had to remove the oven (4 screws, slide out) and remove the right side panel (4 screws). The switch is actuated by the right hinge strut and it must have become bent slightly. I bent it a bit towards the door so that it would just a little bit more likely to make the switch trigger with the door closed and it now works fine.

Glass door drip marks

Since the manual doesn't tell you how do this, and the repair place can't either (other than a service call) I got a little creative without trying to take the whole door apart. First, un lock the hinges and take the door off, It's a bit heavy so be careful. Lay the door on it's back. Now find something long and thin ( a yard stick will do) drench a long cloth with windex and then slide the cloth and the stick between the glass, just make sure you hang on to the cloth so you don't get it stuck between the glass. This worked perfect for me, and saved a service call. Poor design, it should be simple to remove the glass, I guess the designer never cleaned an oven. Make sure you put the door back on correctly, othewise you will go nuts. Angle it in on a 45 dregee angle to the first notch. Then instead of naturally trying to close it up, pull it down slowly to towards floor to open up the hinges and then close it back up. Good luck

Smeg se375mfx5 / stainless steel

i suspect you took the door off without locking the hinges
you will have to put the hinges in the lock position before putting back.
lay door on a blanket with hinges upwards. force the hinges back and bring the locking arm up to lock the hinges.
this requires considerable strength

Whirlpool oven door

Push the hinges out till they click once. At this point, get your nails or screws ready. Use a screw driver and wedge the hinges further apart. When you see the hole in the hinge appear, put the nail in it to hold it open. With both done, drop door in place; open door slightly, and remove nails.
