I have an OPAL 8GB and I have the same problem. It won't sync a cd I bought, and some songs I BOUGHT and downloaded from Walmart will not sync. I am very dissapointed in this product. I have upgraded my RCA Lyra 1080 and show music files on the Lyra Window in my pc, but when I attempt to play music on the Lyra it says "no music files."
Hi, you can try to upgrade the player's firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=187), the firmware it's the second app listed.
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it
off and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the
USB port, then update the firmware.
