If your problem is the SSID or WEP/WAP/WAP2 password, then these can be accessed and seen from your router configuration.

However if your problem is you lost the admin password for the router, then you need to do a hard reset of your router (check manual) but you will need to re-program everything you have configured into it and also possibly upgrade it to the latest firmware.

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. To access your router you need to use a computer that is connected to it. Open a Browser then type192.168.0.1 or http://routerlogin.net. The Default username is admin and the password is password. Password is case sensitive. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and the Network Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure. Then connect your Wii to the router using that information.

Now that we have the information needed lets connect your Wii to the internet.

1. Select Wii Settings
2. Then Internet Connection Settings
3. Search for an AP or SSID
4. Input Security Key or Network Key
5. Test the Connection.

If you think this is helpful rate me and dont forget to say thanks. Thanks for using Fixya.

Pretty simple. It should be set to auto discovery. As long as the WiFi is working ie switched on you shoyuld find your home network pretty easiily. You do need ot knwo the SSID (the name of the network adn teh pasword. Right click on the wireless icon in teh tray to the bottom right adn show the list of netwoprk sits found. One of those should be yours. Simply 'connect' to the network adn entire the Passphrasethat was preassigned when you set up the network an it should automagically connect.

Wireless connection

JRSavage - The solution you supllied is to assign the IP address to the client. It appears Guest is asking how to log into the Router.

Guest - If the router is a wireless router then you should not have to know it's IP to connect to it, simply looks for it's SSID in WIndows Zero Config wireless util (or the util that came with your wireless adapter)

If you're connected and looking how to log into the router itself you'll want to enter the router's IP address into the address bar of your internet browser.

If you're looking for where you enter the router's IP for NIC configuration, you would enter the Router's IP as the Gateway address.

Dropping internet connection

check if this problem is with both wired and wireless computers, if not with the wired..only wireless has problems, check if you have any other wireless device operating in the same frequency of the router..if s, turn off other devices and check b.cos that me interfere your w/ls connection, if wired is having the same problem, connect modem straight to the pc and observe the connection, so that you can isolate problem..
