Wont grab the paper

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
6. Close the printer cover.
7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Try to check for any obstruction. Fan the paper as well on the paper tray. Closely check the mechanism as well when it acts like grabbing the paper. If all fails. Call Epson for a replacement.

The printer don't pick-up the paper, the cause is dirty roller. You can clean pick-up roller with a wet cloth with alcool.

if you remove paper tray you will see rubber feed rollers that pickup the paper, sometimes when they really dirty they wont feed the paper, you can try cleaning them with some windex or alcohol but do no try to rotate them as there is a clutch and it can break, after gently cleaning the rollers wait a few minutes to dry, and try printing again... if still having a problem it may be either the rollers are worn or some other mechanical problem.

you need to push the paper in further or you will need to a tol to refen up the rollers its a special tool

what happens sometimes is that the rollers are too shiney or greesy from the factory that they wont grip the paper

f your printer is unable to pick up paper and the feed rollers are turning, remove the rear access door and clean them with a cloth moistened with water.

All of the lights flash and it wont print or do anything else. The ink cartriges are new I replaced them right before it happened can you please help?

i just thought i had the same problem... but you know how there are 2 buttons on the front of the printer once the paper output tray is down? the bottom of those 2 i think switches it back and forth between paper feeding from the normal, top spot, and from somewhere else, so you can try pushing that button! worked for me!

Placing one sheet at atime is worse usually as these units feed off a minimum level. Keep them topped up to at least no less than 10 sheets. The printers sound like the have a paper feeding issue. Could be a jam. Open unit, check for paper jam. Cheers lilacgerry xxx
