If the model number is correct, your microwave oven is equipped with a child safety lock. This feature can be turned on/off by pressing and holding the Clear/Off button for 3 seconds. The instructions are listed on page 28 of the owner's manual.

The "lock" function is nice if you have kids who like to push buttons. It disables the microwave oven to prevent it from running unnecessarily, To disable the lock feature push the "STOP-CLEAR" button. Then press and hold the "START" button until 'locked' is no longer shown on the display panel. To re-lock it, do the same thing until 'locked' appears on the display. Have a nice day.
Most likely you set a child lock (front panel lock) by holding a button too long (3 seconds). Without a model number, I can't be absolutely sure of the keypad lock for your Jenn-Aire microwave. Usually, the key will have a small padlock icon on it. Press and hold this key. On my microwave you press and hold Start to toggle the lock off.
On a Jenn-Aire JMW2430 and similar models, the Button Lock is activated by a several step process (More and Button Lock). However, pressing and holding the Start button will deactivate it.
"Locked" meaning the buttons don't work/non-responsive (Child Safety Locked)? To Unlock/Disengage the Child Safety. Push and hold the
"Clear/Off" button for 3 to 4 seconds. The Child Safety is disengaged - problem solved.
hold the cancel botton ror 3 seconds . on my ge if you hold the boyyon for three seconds it will it will lock so you may need ti do that to unlockit hopr this works mine wont heat.
"Locke" meaning the door? or locked meaning the buttons don't work? If it is the buttons then you have the child lock on. Push and hold the "Start" button for 4 to 5 seconds, and it will unlock.
To lock or unlock the keypad, press and hold the CLEAR pad for 5 seconds.
