Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the battery is fully charged.
If you are able to access the Menu, please select Initialize under Settings and Main Settings 1 Menu and press OK. If still the issue persists, perform the power reset by removing the Battery and pressing the power button continuously for one minute. Then, leave the power button and reinsert the Battery.

To reset the Digital Camera by using a RESET button follow these steps---

  1. Locate the RESET button on the camera.
  2. Use a pointed object (like a ballpoint pen) to press and hold the RESET button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. After 2-3 seconds has elapsed, release the RESET button.

To perform a manual power reset follows these steps---

  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Remove the battery pack.
  3. Remove the button-sized lithium battery.
  4. Allow the camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.
  5. Reinsert the button-sized lithium battery.
  6. Reinsert the battery pack.
  7. Turn on the camera.

If still the issue persists then it means that the cabinet is opened or LCD cable is touched which is caused by connection defect or poor contact between connector and LCD cable due to the pressure by the rib in the front cabinet to the connector. If still its not resolved then as its a new one so you should use its warranty and get it replaced just to avoid future issues.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

My samsung PL50 camera: i havent used my camera in a while but i bought a new charger, it is full charged and i can browse the pictures, but as soon as i press the on button the lense trys to move but will...

OK, the lens assembly has failed causing a shutdown error. So, technically, the camera is trash because it would WAY more expensive to fix that one than to just buy a new one. NOW, read carefully. When you power on the camera, watch when the lens tries to come out. You'll notice that the shutter on the lens opens first then it pokes out a bit then goes back in and shuts down. If you time it right, you can slip your fingernail under where the shutter is and "assist" the lens out more. dont pull too hard because you'll rip the fron of the lens assembly off. but once it is able to go past this point, 9 times out of 10, it fixes the problem entirely and the camera works just fine after that.

My samsung pl50 won't turn on it just bleeps at me when i try and the shutter is stuck out. it was working fine when i was taking pics of my sister then it just shut down n won't turn back on

I've sent back 2 phones with this exact problem. Came on here and found the solution on the blog from another camera. It works! Here it is:
Figured it out....the zoom lense, while in the open position, was a little out of line, thus preventing the camera from retracting it. After gently re-aligning the lense, it retracted properly and the camera resumed normal functioning.
So basically, wiggle the lens every so slightly then try the power button again. Hope it works for you!

HELP Sigma 24-60MM wide Angle

The helicoid or the barrel thread in the lens may be jammed. The lens will have to be serviced. You should take it back for warranty service.

As for myself, I aways buy origional manufacture lenses and accessorites for my cameras.
