The lcd screen is brokeken. can i replace it? its a finpix a 700

It will cost more then the cost of a new TV to replace that LCD panel. 55" panel would probably be in the $700-$800 range. Walmart has new 55" LCD's in the $700 range. The TV is not junk, it has some value. Throw it on Ebay or Craigslist as a parts unit. I assure you someone will buy it. I'd ask for at least $100

There are no adjustment available to tighten the hinges on a laptop. They need to be replaced.

This is a non essential part and does not have to be in place for the camera to operate properly. I would suspect that the part can be ordered through a Fujifinpix sales dealer. This little plastic cover on all my cameras is the first thing to be removed and lost.

replace the motherboard. Use a good power surge, when you put humpty back together again.

The monitor heat sheild is probably damaged. If you don't have a warranty then you will probably have to replace the lcd panel on the computer.

Hook an external monitor up to it and verify that that screen doesn't scramble. if it does not and the lcd does then the lcd panel is damaged. if both do then you have a motherboard problem with the graphics card. either overheating or damaged. There is also a possibility of memory issues but the first 2 things i mentioned usually over this problem

You may be able to fix it if you can find a replacement screen. I usually search ebay for a broken camera with other problems that I can cannibalize. Here's some examples on LCD replacement, including some of SD500:

Sounds like your camera was dropped and the LCD was damaged. The white screen you see is typical for a defective LCD screen. The only way to repair the camera is to replace the bad part with a known good one.

One solution would be to buy a defective camera online that has a good LCD screen and swap them out.

i would say its the inverter. worst case senario it would be your lcd screen.
