you can try either pushing the reset switch (which will be a small indentation either on the face or the subpanel behind the face) or disconnect power to the radio for a few seconds.
Hi there, If you like you can read throuh the manual for further help if this fails, at this address : http://www.cartoys.com/cartoy/pdfs/kdc-122s_manual.pdf
However the units have a forcible eject mode, im raking my brain for it but i think 90% sure its as follows... Try pressing and holding eject and the power button at the same time for about three to five seconds, the machine shoudl buzz louder then normal an do a full eject cycle for about 2 seconds, If worse comes to worse you can take off the outer casing four screws (if not under warranty) and carefully lift the disc slightly and slide it out. Take care to to force anything as you can damage/scratch the unit. Another option is that you ring the Kenwwod customer service number and ask how them what the button press combination is for forcibly ejecting cds from the unit. you may need to ask for someone in repairs there to get a knowlegable answer, Hope this helps Cheers STeve
You can try pressing the reset button on the display, it is a very small indented button that you need a paperclip or something smaill like that to press it. This is the only user action that can be done.
Do you hear the cd mech making any noise at all (gears trying to turn, motor running)? if not, you may have a supply voltage out for the cd mech, bad ribbon cable, defective loading motor, or one of several other possibilities.
If you hear something trying to happen, it will most likely be a jammed up mech. There is a plastic piece inside the mech that is very difficult to get to that may need to be replaced or at least re-aligned.
If you are not familiar with these type of mechs, you really should not try and fix it, you will most times cause more damage to it.
sorry there was not better news for you. let me know if resettng helps or if you feel you can fix it yourself, I would be glad to offer more help.
i have had the same deck for four years and installed and removed from 4 different vehicles. the deck has been through some stuff lets put it that way. mine does the same thing as yours, i have found that you just keep ejecting the disk untill it reads. usually only takes a couple times and then mine works just fine.
you need cleaning and maintenance on your radio if you want to eject the disk theres a little tiny button on the face you will need a pin push it in and this should eject your disk
