(External HD has no O/S) IF i had to re-install windows XP on my 'C drive'. * - would i still be able to play the games if i imported the regestery files to the new copy of windows XP? * - if not how what would i need to do to play the games again without re-installing the games because i no longer have the disks. any advice would be cool. Some of the games yes, but not many. I would recommend doing a full backup of your system to the external Hard Drive. all programs->accessories-> system tools-> backup & restore. You can backup the system from here and when you install the new system you can restore it.

This could mean a couple things, mostly that you are trying to boot from a harddrive that doesn't have the file ntldr that in turn loads windows. It could be as simple as you are trying to boot to the external HD without knowing it or there is a 3.5 floppy disk in the drive.

How to fix error code 150-3039 on wiiu

Error Code: 150-3039 means there is a problem with with your external storage device. It is most common when you are using an external hard drive that does not have a separate dedicated power supply. It either isn't getting enough power or the hard drive has other problems. Try powering off your Wii U, disconnecting your external HDD, and running the system without the drive. It should work. Then power off and reconnect your external drive. If you receive the error message again then you should look into getting new external storage. Is there a way i can add extra memory storage for a ps3?

You can replace the hard drive of a PS3 with a normal spinning hard drive, or an SSD if you want to make boot up times faster. SSDs are generally more expensive, but they improve the performance of games by speeding up the load times.

Toshiba backup software

im assuming you want to back up your laptop

Determine how much space you'll need to back up your Toshiba laptop's hard drive.

If you are intending to back up your entire hard drive, or have a lot of video and music files you want to save, you'll likely need an external hard drive.

On the other hand, if you only want to back up your most important documents, a USB drive should suffice.

Separate your video, music, pictures, games and documents into separate folders.

Right-click each folder and then click "Properties." Do this for your C: drive, too.

Locate the "Size" or "Capacity" section on the "General" tab.

The number to the right indicates how large the folder is, with all the files included.

This information should give you an idea of what kind of secondary storage system you'll require. If you're looking at over 100GB of storage space needed, you'll probably want an external hard drive.

Purchase an appropriate drive that includes backup utilities.

Some external drives and USB drives come with backup software.

Once you install and configure the software, all you have to do is press a button--either on the drive itself or on your computer's desktop or taskbar--to start the backup process.

Schedule your drive's utility software to back up your Toshiba laptop files once a month.

Your USB or external drive should be plugged into the laptop on the scheduled backup dates.

Store your most important files on an online storage facility, such as Mozy, DropBox or Toshiba Online Backup.

In case anything causes damage to both your laptop hard drive and your spare drive, you will still be able to access the files online.

The files are just MP4 video, or JPG, images. There's no 'export' needed.

Not sure about 'cleanly', I used copy/paste. Please explain.

As far as the software goes, you can obtain the full version software from Panasonic, but I see no reason why you would want to.

Can the data from old console be transferred to new console? is there a hd that can be moved? if so where.

There is no hard drive that can be removed as the Wii uses flash data storage. However there are options for you to backup data to an sd card or memory stick. If you go into the Wii data management settings you can select save games and channels to be saved to an external device such as the sd card or USB memory stick. This will then be able to be used and copied onto a new system and the save games and channels will be installed on it too.

How do I down load to an external drive and not the main computer

First Solution:-

1. If you have copied a particular game's folder to the external drive, go to Start menu > Programs.
2. Right click on the file name of the game.
3. Click on "Properties"
4. Go to "shortcut" page and change the "Target" path directing the EXE file to the folder in the external drive where you have copy-pasted the your game.
5. Click on "Apply" and "OK".
6. Now, try to start the game, and you should be able to play.

An alternate solution is given below.

In both the cases (internet game / purchased games):-
1. First plug in the external hard drive to your computer.
2. You will have to run the installation file of the game (both purchased and internet download) and select the folder path directing it to the external hard drive.
3. For some games, you may have to uninstall the existing game first to re-install and select the desire folder path (external drive).
4. Games will be installed in external drive and also available in start menu > programs > "your game".

Happy gaming! :)
