The red lights on the board indicate it is working properly. The purpose of the board is to control the dispensing of the beverages, and has nothing to do with the cooling process. You have a cold control (thermostat) inside the refrigerated area. The cold control is like a switch that sends 120vac to the compressor when cooling is needed. The failure of the unit to cool would be either a bad cold control, compressor, or compressor start relay. Testing of live electrical circuits should be left to a qualified service technician.
1) your box may be low on freon, 2) fault thermostat may cause unit run non stop, causing evaporator to ice up and blocking air circulation, 3) Dirt condensor thus reducing operation efficiency.
Check the simplest problem first - make sure condensor coil is clean. if not, use a vacuum cleaner to clean condensor.
For # 2 is more likely if the evaporator has a fan. If it has, check to see if it runs; it is behind the back panel inside box. While at that, see if evaporator coil iced up. If it is defrost using hot water and turn it on setting thermostat to normal temp. setting. If it work fine and later develops same problem, replace thermostat.
If the above 2 solutions don't solve the problem, call a technician to check freon.
is it keeping the inside contents cold and or frozen, if not possibly condenser coil needs cleaning, also if its in a very warm place and you have no problems other than that its just trying to keep things cool and has to run longer to do so
The SkyBox was built for Maytag by a company in China. Production stoppedabout 2 1/2 years ago, and Maytag purchased ALL available service parts available at that time. As inventories are depleted, there will be no more parts available.
An issue with the SkyBox involved a build up of frost and ice on the evaporator plate built into the wall behind the dispensor assembly. This build up insulated the product from the evaporator coil. It also caused the circulation fan to stop running. Unplug the unit and leave the door open for 24 hours. Plug it back in, set the thermostat indicator at the 11:00 position and close the door. See if this brings the temps back down to the 36 to 42 degree range, I hope this helps.
The likely cause is a heavy frost and ice buildup on the internal evaporator plate behind the dispensing unit. Unplug the unit and open the door for 24 hours. Plug the unit back in, reset the thermostat to the 11:00 position.
For the soda name tags, I pulled logos off the internet and printed them the correct size on 20-pound paper. Different paper gives different translucence, so you might have to experiment to get the right amount of light coming through. PS: thanks for the part no. on the relay
