youtube videos are of .flv extension(flash format).
you have to convert it to a format supported by your dvd player.
To do this download any video converter software like "total video converter" and convert to to a format like Avi, mpegm divx etc. These are supported by all dvd players.

One way is to capture it to your computer and then make a DVD out of it using a video NLE (non-linear editor)... if you are running XP/Vista/7 you can use Windows Movie Maker(r). It has enough basic functionallity to do what you want. more middle of the road NLEs incluse Corel, Pinacle and my favorite Sony Vegas

Mkv files to play correctly require quite powerful computer. Try mpg, MPEG codes but even those when used for high definition video my require some processing power.

The .MOV files are apple quicktime files. you can download quicktime or install K-lite codec pack, which will let you open the files in Windows Media player. It may even let edit them in Windows Movie-maker. Cheers.
