Usually there are 3 screws in a row. The cord has 3 wires in a row.
Connect either outside wire to either outside screw. Connect center wire to center screw.
Look at type of plug on cord.

Likely the feet to the dryer are not level. Grab a large level and check to ensure the top front is level across.

If your door opens to the right, raise the front left foot by screwing it counterclockwise. Check level, and repeat.

Mirror the operation for a door that swings to the left.

If it turns hard, the timer may need replaced. But if you can turn the shaft with a pair of pliers and the dryer works, just get a new knob.

timer needs too be replace might have dead spot inside timmer.

sounds like a bad cycle timer switch

check the door swich to be sure made up properly
