Pull the HDD out of the enclosure & connect it internally. Try using SpinRite to see how bad the damage is.

Recyclebin on my wd external hard drive is saying its corrupted

You could run the chkdsk disk utility Click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your Hard Drive. or an easier way to run the chkdsk utility Click start control panel administrative tools computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart have no input while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may further damage your computers Operating System and Hard Drive

I was copying something from my External Drive to my computer hard drive. the copy froze and my computer froze i had to restart and ever since I can't get my External Drive to connect to my computer.

you need to scan your external hard drive for bad sectors problems, you can use winpe mini cd, its a live cd that have hirens boot disk inside it as well as a preinstalled windows eviorment that will give you access to many tools and softwares...download it , burn it to disk and boot it.....

the idea is when you was copying files, some read errors occured that crashed the system, and whene the system crashed, bad sectors/clusters appears, and they need to be scaned and fixed.

I can open my WD external hard drive, but after I get in there and am looking at pictures, it freezes up on me and says not responding.

Try this go to my computer. Right click on your removable. Go to properties tools error checking :mark both boxes and hit start. This will check file system errors and try to recover bad sectors. It will also tell you if the drive is failing.
Hope this helps.
