hi thanks for the response the computer came installed with 512 mb kingston and a sempron sda2300dut3d the computer ran for some time and picked up a virous so I wiped the hdd after some time of trying to remove the bug when the drive was formated the computer reset it's own bios booted me up into setup safe mode as it called it with a cpu speed of 951 mhz or somthing like that after trying to reset the setting I replaced bolth the ram and cpu with simpletech ram and also tried another ram stick all 512mb and a nother cpu an athlon 2800 but each time I turn it on unless it's set at 951mhz the system will hang and shut down and to reboot I must unplug it till the green power light on the board shuts off then it reboots into the same setup safemode and resets the cpu to 951mhz
the 2 cpu's are 2300mhz the other 2800mhz I no I am setting the maltiplyers and so correctly I looked bolth up to find the correct settings and tried 3 diferrent ram sticks looks to me like a problem with the main board
O and I do the the battery is good volt meter shows good voltage

and also tried removing all cd trays and hdd's and unneeded cards so we are just booting the board with only a video card ram and cpu nothing else

You need to set the speed to match your cpu.

It should be set at either 100, 133, 166 or 200.

The multiplier on the cpu will make it match the processor

MAKING YOUR COMPUTER OPERATE VERY FAST & SECURED THROUGH CPU OVERCLOCKING

NOTE: OVERCLOCKING COMPUTER CPU MAKES IT PERFORM FASTER ABOVE THE FACTORY SET LEVEL, BEFORE OVERCLOCKING, READ THE GUIDE BELOW, AND VIEW THE SOFTWARE APPROACH HERE OPEN

drbrightirem.jpgOverclocking a processor means enabling it to operate above the manufacturer's specified frequency. Many internet sites provide instructions for overclocking. Processor manufacturers and many computer experts believe the slight gain in performance (only perceivable on CPU-intensive software) isn't worth the expense or considerable risk.

  • Get whatever tools you need: screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, motherboard manual, cooling hardware, etc.
  • 2 Find out whether your motherboard can be adjusted in the BIOS setup, with jumpers or not at all.
  • 3 Find out clock-speed limitations of the motherboard.
  • 4 Run all Windows and any third-party diagnostic applications you have. Fix all system problems.
  • 5 Make a complete backup of your system, documents and applications you don't have on CD-ROM. Do not overwrite these copies.
  • 6 If you have a BIOS-adjustable motherboard, make changes according to your motherboard manual, and skip to Step 15.
  • 7 Shut down computer.
  • 8 Leave computer plugged in to surge suppressor.
  • 9 Disconnect all peripherals from computer.
  • 10 Remove cover of chassis.
  • 11 Ground yourself to computer with any professional grounding equipment you have. Otherwise, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.
  • 12 If your motherboard has adjustable jumpers, locate the jumpers that control the CPU speed.
  • 13 Use needle-nose pliers to change jumper settings. Move jumpers to positions indicated in your motherboard manual for the clock speed you want. Check the internet for recommendations.
  • 14 Install a CPU heat sink, heat-sink compound, and a specialty cooling fan, if appropriate and possible.
  • 15 Put system back together, and reboot.
  • 16 If computer does not boot, and CPU still works, try lowering the clock speed. If that doesn't work, restore the original configuration.
  • 17 Check all functions, and run a CPU-intensive program.

  • NOTE: OVERCLOCKING COMPUTER CPU MAKES IT PERFORM FASTER ABOVE THE FACTORY SET LEVEL, BEFORE OVERCLOCKING, READ THE GUIDE BELOW, AND VIEW THE SOFTWARE APPROACH HERE OPEN Tips & Warnings
    • CPUs have rated and maximum speeds. Exceeding the maximum speed is far more likely to cause problems than more conservative adjustments.

    • Overclocking an Intel processor explicitly voids its warranty. Other manufacturers have similar exclusions. Intel prevents overclocking of some CPUs by disabling higher multiplier settings.

    • Expect a shorter life for an overclocked processor, including the possibility of its immediate failure.

    • Prepare to deal with seemingly unrelated problems that can be caused by overclocking: destruction of other internal components, lost data, system and application crashes, and an inability to boot the system. Such problems can occur randomly or materialize well after you have altered your motherboard

Using self timer on the Canon SX110 is. I read the solution here but it just says make it 1 shot I did that but there is still no delay in the shutter and I have that set at 30 seconds. are there other...

Does the auto exposure go down to 30 secs? If you are getting 30 secs on B mode then the self timer will not work. Set the camera to full auto and then from the menu select self timer, you should have 2 options 2 sec and 10 sec. Then press the shutter

Problem with my BIOS CMOS Setting

Its due to your default CMOS setup does not match with your CPU configuration especially with CPU speed.
    1. To fixed the above problem goto BIOS and navigate settings of CPU, speed etc. Set the speed with the proper value as per manual. And save the settings.
    2. Infuture when you will load default, at that time also set the CPU settings.
    • The CMOS battery might not be connected properly or may be its not producing enough power as per needed by board. So have a look with another battery. Also clean the connection point of the CMOS battery.

    Good Luck

PSP SCREEN FLICKERS AND GOES SLOW IN MAIN MENU

Ok...this sounds crazy but it happened to one of my PSPs. I updated the firmware on my system and the menu started stalling and taking a long time to respond. I shut the PSP all the way down....holding the power button until the light shuts off (about 4 or 5 seconds)...Hold the R button and power the system on again (you should be in recovery mode)...go to CPU speed and make sure it is either set at "Default" or "222"....I belive 222 is the default setting....also make sure the UMD is also set at "Default" or 222....if you're going to use the UMD.

Blue screen and shut off by self

You will need to reset the Netcommand and tuner settings in the set. The little indented button in the front of the set needs to be pushed in (when the set is off). The front light will blink for about a minute or minute and a half. Then, reprogram the Netcommand settings. This should solve your problem. If you need more information, then, reply to this post and I will respond.

What is the range shutter speed?

The DiMAGE A2 controls shutter speed in the range of 30 sec. to 1/4000 sec. in 1/3 increments. (at bulb maximum 30 sec.) The speed, 1/4000 sec. is controlled only when the aperture is f5.6 or over in P and A mode. The highest speed in S and M mode is 1/2000 sec. The lower range depends on the set camera sensitivity. ISO800: 4 sec., ISO400: 8 sec., ISO200: 15 sec., ISO100 and ISO64: 30 sec.
