My samsung l n-t4061f/ln 40 inch tv has rainbow dots on the screen and when i turn it on it has vertical pinks stripes on the screen.need your help

I have samsung TV 40 inches flat screen comes on the picture ok but within 10 minutes the picture goes black and white

Hi there are a couple of hings that could be bad with your tv. Your screen or your t-con board would be the most obvious. Screens are expensive to replace so I would try replacding the t-con board. The t-con is the board thattransfers your signal to the lcd screen. It is usually located on the top center of the tv. You would need to open up your tv and get the part number fro the board.

That is always the first place to look and make some voltage checking, you should have dc of 5, 12 and 24v at the power supply output connectors. Look for bad caps with bulging tops also.

Sadly, the screen is the most expensive part of the TV. The replacement screen would cost more than the TV is worth. Shopjimmy.com is the only affordable place to buy the replacement screen, But, they are out of stock. Usually, the screen cost around $250 to $350. Any other website will cost an arm and a leg. Buying a new TV would be best at this point.

most of the time this is the ctrl board its like a graphic card tells the screen what to show,but the cable from that goes to main board sometimes this is the cause of lines/open it get no of control board it has a 30 pin thin lead going to main board and google it easy to replace plug n play

Try to play with DVD player. Also try to test on another inputs. If the problem persists, the main board may be defective. Another reson could be the T-con board. To find out whether the T-con board or main board cause problem, you need open the TV and check inside.

Its only 3 month old, so its still under warranty. Yes, its a major problem.
