This is probably the run flat tyre sensor telling you that one of the tyres is down. Check the pressure on all 4 tyres, and get them all to the proper pressure. The button under the handbrake is a reset button for the run flat tyre sensor. With the engine off, hold the button in and keep it held in, start the car up, keep the button in until the light goes off. If it doesnt go off, just wait 10 or 15 seconds, then let go of the button. The warning light should go out. If this happens again, check your tyres again as you may have a puncture that you don't know about.

Handbrake light stays on

I am going to hope these two items are related.
First the handbrake.
On most cars, it works like this. ( Wish I could say that for VW !)
The handbrake lever or pedal has a very small switch, about the size of your little finger, located in a place near the lever or pedal so that, when you push the pedal or pull the lever, the little switch has a button inside it that is released to come out, and that turns on your light, telling you the brake is on.
It is a "push button" switch.
When you release the pedal or the brake lever to normal position, the button is pushed back into the switch turning off the light.
I suspect you have a lever between the seats.
It will be surely hard to find the switch, as it likely is down inside the console.
If yours has the pedal under the dashboard, it is much easier to find, as you should be able to see it way up under the dashboard near the top of the emergency brake pedal.
The switches are usually only a few dollars, unless you go to a car dealer, and the labor can be high.
Oh yes, sometimes the switches are made of cheap plastic, and they can actually break or fall out of their socket !
I think the beeping may just be an audible reminder of the switch problem.
Be Blessed.

The hand brake light indicator on the dashboard on my Toyota Ipsum 2.0 SXM10 did not go off completely after I released the hand brake knob. The indicator only light dimly and sometime it go off completely...

Check the switch under the handbrake lever, it may be out of alignment or broken or it may have a wire shorting out which is causing the dash light to stay on.

Honda Civic 1987 model, brake light on dashboard panel stays on...what could be wrong?

could be something as simple as the E-brake or handbrake is not in its proper position, check it by pushing the button and moving handle down. if this doesn't work you may have a bad switch.

it could also signify that you have low brake fluid as well as other things that I cannot think of at the moment,

good luck

Switch off tire pressure warning light

From the manual: First find the reset button, located below the handbrake (emergency brake) lever. The button has an "exclamation mark in a tyre" symbol.

Make sure the pressures in all tyres are what you want them to be. 35psi all 'round is good for sporty driving.

Engine off. Turn ignition to the second position (ON) but don't start the engine.

Keep the re-set button pressed until the flat tyre indicator light on the dashboard COMES ON for several seconds.

Start the engine, and drive the car normally for several minutes. This will re-set the indicator to whatever pressures you have in the tyres. Hope this helps!!
