My MP3 won't turn on. Every time I press the ''on'' button it says ''walkman'' and has a loading bar, but then turn off automaticly. I'm not sure what caused this either.

First reset yours by the Back button;

If not solved;

Reset again by the button, the On the Computer by Fat32 Format, and then Copy the Initial Files that were on your MD when you Bought;

Good luck

Sony walkman NZ-E353 was working fine both alone and attached too a docking station. Next day it won't come on and keeps flashing "HOLD" before turing off.Battery is fully charged. Please...

I'm sorry that the Walkman Player is not turning ON normally and displaying "HOLD" message. The "HOLD" message indicates that the Walkman player is set to HOLD mode by sliding the HOLD button on the right side. Please make sure that the HOLD switch is not activated.

If the issue persists after moving it from HOLD position, please reset the Walkman player by pressing the reset button using a sharp pointed object. The reset button is located on the rear of the unit.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarification.

How do i turn on my sony walkman video? i just got it from a friend and i dont know how to turn it on

Ok from the main screen, go to the icon that looks like a film strip - center left, hi light it and press the play button > if you have the right format video loaded, it will show in the window, hi light the one you want to play and press the play button. Videos need to be in the w++dows or wmv format.

Sony Walkman MP3 doesn't respond to buttons -- won't even turn off

Sorry to hear that. Just press the RESET button to see if it solves the problem. If not, go to the Sony Support Center online.

Good luck, and Happy Holidays.

My mp3 player won't load up

Reset worked for me. Maybe you have to hold it longer? This is the first time I've had to do this but reset did the trick.

Sony Walkman - Digital Music Player NWD-B105F

I had the exact same problem with my girlfriends sony nwd-b105 mp3 player. I fixed it by downloading the firmware version 1.2, which can be found here at the sony support link below.

http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/wm/nwf/nwf.aspx?site=&m=NWD-B105&site=odw_en_GB&odw_model=NWD-B105

- Backup your mp3 files
- Make sure your mp3 device is NOT plugged in
- Run the firmware executable
- When it asks for it plug in the mp3 device
- Check option: format data area
- Press Start
- When finished, take the mp3 device out and press the power button
- If everything went well it is creating a database again and will function correctly as usual
- Copy your mp3 files back to the mp3 device
- Enjoy your music again!
