Hi, This could be either a broken drive belt, or a stuck paddle. First see if the paddle turns freely. If it does, then it is probably the belt that came off or snapped.

Assuming it's getting warm, it's probably stale yeast in the mix. No telling how old the yeast is inside the mix. Try mixing in a fresh packet of Fleischmann's Yeast (http://www.fleischmannsyeast.com) purchased fresh from your local grocer. I bet that'll do the trick
Unless you are using the time delay feature you can just dump all the ingredients in at the same time. Choose your program, loaf size, and crust color and push "start" and that's it.! Add the yeast last if you are worried about it.
Hi, It could be that the belt is slipping, or the sealed bearing in the bread pan where the paddle goes on is sticking and not mixing the ingredients like it should.
I had great success in finding what I wanted for my breadmaker athttp://breadmakerpartsemporium.ioffer.com/. They have manuals and parts for most breadmakers at very reasonable prices.

My Breadmakers Hearth was making the same sound, so after taking it apart I found that it was only the Bread Pans "under paddle" that the machine reaches up and connects to to drive the Paddle. I wears loose and wobbles and starts to slip making that banging sound. You can either replace the Bread Pan or like I did INVERT the under paddle (requires removing the C-clamp washer) to extend the life of the Pan and use of the Hearth. Hope this helps you.
Yes. I have tried several mixes & all have come out just great. The box usually has instructions on the order to put your ingredients in (so follow that). Yeast first, then mix, then liquids on top. I've even set mine up for delayed baking & they came out well too. Good luck!
