Very care fully run your fingers along the inside edges of the tumbler both front and back
obviously your searching for something that is cutting your cloths so be care full it will cut you too
with the ge, i would tend to believe that your tumbler might be off or have worn though your front slides, they are made of nylon and fall out of place

check behind the door twords the top

Dryer is about 5 years old. Has begun to squeak loudly when clothes begin to spin

Are you comfortable taking the dyer apart? There are just a few simple screws to remove. It sounds like a bad blower wheel. If you follow the link you should be able to trouble shoot the issue.

I have a GE Washing/dryer Stackable machine combo. The speed maintain normal speed even with the Delicate Clothes option. How to trouble shoot? There is a Siebe Control that is connected to the timer Knob...

The speed change voltages are selected by the timer contacts. Try rotating your timer clockwise rapidly through several revolutions then select a delicate spin cycle and see if the speed is still too fast. If it is then the most likely suspect is the timer itself.

Model number used: WSM2780WAWWW

The timers are the same.

My maytag clothes dryer does not get hot anymore.

is this an electric dryer? if I had the model number, around the hole where you put the clothes in, I could tell you better if this is something you can do yourself. it may not be the heater, it could be a thermal fuse cutout giving you trouble. let me know.

Holes in Clothes

You'll need a drill with a wire brush attachment and take that to the front of the heating element. The heating element gets a lot of crud built up on it and yes it'll put holes on clothes.
