I have a 7-in LCD sharper image television and the red light above the green light for power is blinking off and on what does that mean

A blinking red light on your Sharper Image 7-inch LCD TV usually indicates that there is a problem with the TV's power supply. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the power source: Make sure the TV is plugged into a working power outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to both the TV and the outlet.
2. Unplug and reset: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This will reset the TV and may resolve the issue.
3. Check the batteries in the remote: Make sure the batteries in the remote control are not dead and are installed correctly. If the remote isn't working, it could be the reason the TV is not responding.
4. Contact customer support: If none of these steps work, it may be a hardware issue. Contact Sharper Image customer support for further assistance or take the TV to a qualified technician for repair.
Keep in mind that the exact cause of the blinking red light may vary depending on your specific model of Sharper Image TV, and the manufacturer's troubleshooting steps may differ. It's always a good idea to refer to the user manual or contact customer support for assistance if you're unsure about how to proceed.

Soniq LTV8212 Standby led keeps flashing red and will not turn on from either remote or switch n side

There's a couple of things you can try.

1. Unplug the set and disconnect everything connected to it (DVDs, etc.). Wait five minutes. Plug the television back into the wall outlet, and try to turn it back on again using the remote control or the "Power" button on the unit itself. If the television starts up without the blinking light, turn it off, reconnect your devices and turn it back on again. If you still see the blinking light, perform a factory reset.

2. Factory reset.
Point the remote control at the television, and press and hold the "Up Arrow" button. At the same time, press and release the "Power" button on the television. Your television will reset to its factory settings, and the red light will no longer blink.

If neither of these work you will need factory service.

Please my tv with on the standby mode when i try to put it back it couldn't the indicator now goes on and off with picture show please help

The standby light on a Sony television indicates when the television is turned on and operating, or turned off and in "standby" mode. However, this light also serves a secondary function: indicating when there is a problem with the television by flashing. When the standby light begins to flash, there are two reset options that can be performed to resolve whatever issue it's indicating -- a power reset and a factory reset

POWER RESET
1. Turn off your TV
  • 2. Unplug the television from the electrical outlet. If you're using a surge protector or power strip, disconnect the television from the strip itself. Only by disconnecting the power cord from the outlet can you ensure no power reaches the TV during the power cycle.
  • 3. Leave the television without power for at least 60 seconds. This gives the television enough time for all components to power down during the power cycle
  • 4. Plug the television back into the electrical outlet. If you're using a surge protector or power strip, plug the television directly into the wall outlet instead. The surge protector may otherwise interfere with the power-up cycle, especially if it is old or damaged.
  • 5. Turn on the television. If the blinking standby light continues, you'll need to move on to the factory reset process.

  • FACTORY RESET
  • 1. Turn on the television.
  • 2. Press and hold either the "Reset" or up arrow button on the remote control.
  • 3. Press and release the "Power" button on the front of the television, while keeping the "Reset" or up arrow button on the remote depressed.
    4. Release the "Reset" or up arrow button.
    5. Allow the television to reset after the "Reset" message appears on the screen.
    6. Make no adjustments to the television for at least one minute after the reset has completed. This is to allow the television time to finish auto-configuration and initial set up.
7.Turn off the television and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
    8. Wait ten seconds, then plug the television back into the electrical outlet and turn on the TV.
    9. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete setup. These are the instructions displayed the first time you set up the television, for configuring channels, menu language, time, display properties and more.

Have a proscan ps50700 that wont show the picture, will turn on but turns itself right back off. what could it be

    TV Doesn't Turn On
    • Your RCA rear projection TV may not turn on from time to time for several reasons. First, check that the power cord is plugged into a working power outlet. Check that the outlet is receiving electricity by plugging a different device into the outlet. If the other device doesn't work, you may need to replace a fuse or reset a circuit breaker in your home.

If you tried using the remote control to turn on the TV, press the "Power" button on the front of the TV. You may have a problem with the remote control if the TV turns on.

If you tried using the front control panels and haven't tried the remote, press the "Power" button on the remote control. The television controls are blocked if the TV turns on with the remote. To unlock the controls, open the "Parental Control" menu and remove the check mark next to "Front Panel Block."

Finally, your TV may be performing a diagnostic check. These checks are used to find any errors in your TV. Wait a few minutes before trying to turn on the TV again.

    TV Turns Off By Itself
    • You may find that your RCA TV turns off by itself on occasion. This is often because the "Sleep Timer" feature was enabled. This feature allows you to place a timer on the television that will turn it off after a specific amount of time has passed. The feature allows you to save on your energy bill and extend the life of your television.

If the "Sleep Timer" wasn't set, the television may have detected a power surge in your home and shut off automatically to protect the components of the television. Wait at least 30 seconds before turning the TV on again.

Finally, if you suspect the television is turning off for a reason other than a power surge, unplug the television and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. This will clear any errors in the television. After 10 minutes, plug the television back into the outlet and resume normal use.

    • Blank Screen
    • A blank screen on an RCA rear projection television is usually caused by a loose connection or an incorrect setting. Check that the coaxial connection on the back of the television is secure or, if you're using an external device such as a DVD player, the video cables are secure. Press the "Ant/Cable" button to switch between tuners if you are watching television, or the "Input" button to switch between input channels if you're watching something from an external device.

Tv turns itself off every 5 minutes

Please check the Model # of the TV and check if there is any related Firmware/Software update for the TV model.

Please check if the television has a timer option, ensure it is disabled.

Please check the remote controls to see if any of the buttons are stuck that may be interfering with the television.

Please try connecting the TV to different AC wall outlet and check if that helps.

Try resetting the TV and check if that helps.
Unplug the power cord of the television from the AC wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the AC outlet.
Attempt to turn on the television.

Remove all remote controls from the room where the television is located.

NOTE: If the issue is still unresolved after completing all of the troubleshooting steps, service will be required

Is the red light suppose to stay on when you turn off the tv with the remote?

Yes it is supposed to stay on. This is the standby light. The television still draws power as do many electronic devices when not turned on and when in standby. If you do not want the red light to stay on you will have to unplug the television.
