Dell 1501 screen goes black for 1 sec before back to normal

can you attach it to an external monitor or tv to see if it is outputting anything?

When you power up and everything finishes loading right click on screen and the personalize screen will appear .click on screen saver and to the left of the screen you will see a list that says change when computer sleeps you can reset the time there .Good luck

Hi,your problem could be as a result of a bad screen or screen connector(Flex)have a technician look at it.

1. Chck the ram i thinkg ram is not working
2. insttal the oprating system in your system and remove the old after working fine

there is a invertor in LCD. it makes your lcd bright white shine. if it doesnt work you can have dark view. i mean something going on the lcd but you cant see clearly. take to tecnic service your computer.

You will need a new monitor screen. I have had two screens go on me recently and what you describes normally happens

It seems your Operating system has corrupted, Its best to use Windows Installation CD to perform Recovery Installation. You can Use the DELL Disk. Before proceed Make sure you have your backup. If you need some advanced access to files you can use UBCD.

I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 of a second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. What's up?
I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.
