No wireless signal

Maybe the wireless card is bad. Parts don't last forever. Are you sure your wireless switch is on? Are you sure your wireless router is on?

When you say your wireless connection has stopped (that is a broad statement that could either be a problem with the router or the wireless card in the computer).

Does your Laptop pick up any wireless signal at all from anywhere? Do you have other laptops in the house that is picking up the wireless signal?

If other laptops pick up the signal, then the problem is with your wireless in the laptop. You might try downloading and reinstalling the wireless drivers.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AdventSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.If you still have problems are reinstalling the driver then try reseating the wireless card. Remove the power cord, remove the battery, turn the laptop over and remove the cover that houses the wireless card. Remove the screws from the wireless card that holds it in the slot, remove the antennas (black and white cables) from the wireless card. Then put it all back together and in place and reboot.

You can use any computer to connect to the Internet.
First you need to decide what type of broadband/Internet serviceyou require and these are -
1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line.
2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service.
3. A wireless 3G network which uses the mobile/cell phone network and can beseparate or combine with your cell phone account
Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include amodem/wireless router.

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service and yourlaptop has a wireless card then you can also connect to the Internet at WiFihot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access theInternet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to checkthe service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to checkwith the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and thecost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed themonthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider,their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installationCD.

as you have not told us which model you have i can not tell you where the switch is

please try some of these options if your model is mentioned

In you dlink have a reset button, press that button up to 20 sec and then release that, your router will be reseted.

you can buy a wireles linksys usb for your lap top and have a wireless router linksys stationary and the lap top usb ..... will pick up the signal for your lap top, i have a usb port linksys and it works great, but u do need a router in your home to pick up the signal

I know it sounds stupid but a lot of people just forget to turn on the wireless switch.

You may want to check first if the router is being picked up by other computers just to eliminate the possibility of a busted router. If no other computers can pick up your Router's signal then it's the router that you need to replace. If other computers can pick up your router's signal, then it's the computer's wireless card that's busted.

maybe, you should try another outlet, or pressing the reset button.
