Roxio 2009 Ultimate has been working wonderfully for me for a year now. Just yesterday, it suddenly started giving me this message. A few days ago, I had trouble changing security from McAffee to ZoneAlarm, gave up on that and am now using BitDefender. Since these are the only changes I've made to my computer before the problem, I'm thinking it has something to do with my security.
I am working with an administrative account and have uninstalled Roxio and reinstalled it twice now. I've also run it as administrator. My DVD express works but very slowly now, but create DVD-advanced is what gives me the message.
I had this problem and searched high and low for an answer. This worked for me: http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/content/000243CR&PARAMS=set-locale=en
I think a system restore would be the best way to get this resolved.
Please let me know if that helps

Hi Alyx,
Thank you for your comments, I appreciate your efforts for following the troubleshooting steps provided by me. As per your discription it seems that the Roxio is trying to locate some file thru installation disc. I would like to suggest you a complete uninstall and then re-installing the application, would help you able to use this application.
Thank you for choosing Fixya.

Reintall is not the solution, act as an administration too - not the solution... maybe the solution is in the air... luiz

I've tried a system restore and still have the same problem...only now when I right click the recycle bin (and sometimes when I want to delete a file), Roxio attempts to reconfigure and looks for the install disc.
