Take the batteries out of the remote and with a finger nail file board and shine up the terminals then do the same to the terminals on the remote and try that, its only about 3 volts in the remote and any corrosion on the contacts will obstruct current flow in the remote control

I have a split-type aircon (brand: LG) with remote control. It has power and display when i put on batteries. but the aircon unit does not respond to the remote control. what do i do to fix this?...

Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

ASTA12JEC Fujitsu Air Conditioning unit. Dear sir or madam. My air conditioning unit is no longer responding to remote control but stays on. It used to work fine then one day it stopped responding.

Start by replacing the batteries to your remote control and make sure there is nothing blocking the IR receiver on the unit itself. If that is blocked by something hanging on it or tape over it from something hanging on it previously.

I just moved into a new home and the air cons are kelvinator r51k bgce and it won't turn on when i use the remote and the batteries are working?

pull up the front cover the grill looking piece , not the air out louvers , there maybe a little button , push that in if air con starts up , then you remote sensor may be faulty or the remote itself .

KELVINATOR AIR CON

More than likely it is the remote sensor in the indoor unit. Then again I presume that it is the correct remote control. Sometimes a remote for one aircon may not communicate with another aircon even if they are the same brand.

Timer set on remote, cancels out after use

I have discovered that a 7 day timer is available, but it is a fixed and separate box and will need to be programmed into the wall unit, at a cost of $500.As i am a pensioner and unable to afford this cost, I must persevere with the remote I have. Why can't the so-called experts provide a top of the line product in the first place? The last aircon unit I had was a Fujitsu, and that DID Have a very good remote enabling a programme of ON - OFF, On - Off in a 24 hour period. Thanks for trying to help.
