I had same problem today, my software on the PC was version 3.03, I upgraded to 4.1, it seems to work better now.

These frames are a little flaky, sometimes I have to power it off, and on, for it to be recognized.

No battery David. It is mains powered via a small AC adapter.

How can i wipe the memory

You'll need a computer to do this.

1. Turn on the digital frame.
2. Connect it to a computer via the USB cable.
3. On the computer, click on the My Computer icon.
4. The digital frame should be listed under Removable Devices - probably as Removable E or Removable F.
5. Double click on the the device.
6. Select the file you wish to delete.
7. Press the delete key on the computer keyboard.
8. Click Yes in the dialog box.

This will delete the picture.
I hope this would be helpful.

Hi...my SmartParts Digital Photo Frame, Model number SP15MW, is not working right. It has pink vertical lines going through the photos and looks awful. I haven't used it much and can't figure out why its...

I had the same problem, I downloaded the desktop software from the manufacturer's website at: http://www.smartpartsproducts.com/content/support/optipix/index.php

It fixed my problem. Create a folder on your computer's desktop, remove the photos from your SD card, use your cable to connect your computer to the frame, then re-import the pictures to the frame using the optimization tool on the Smartparts Desktop. Works like a charm!

Cannot load pictures onto SmartParts Digital frame

You can't see pictures on the frame while it's connected to the computer. The frame is supposed to say, "PC Connection established..." If you go to My computer and look for your frame as a removable device, you can open it and view the internal memory of the frame. You can see all the pictures on the frame and delete them if you wish.

Can not find the setup file for the smartparts 7 inch digital pic

The setup file is on the frame. Connect the frame to your computer w/ the USB cable. Go to MY COMPUTER. Look for your frame as a removable device and open it up. There is a blue icon called "setup." If you click on it, it will start to download to your computer. If you can't find it, you can download from Smartparts website at this link:

Omnitech 8.5 Digital Photo frame...no Instructions

I had this same problem and after playing with it for several hours, I discoverd the software that came with the frame was copying my photos to the "D" drive. Since my frame was connected to my computer through the "g" USB, of course the photos were never copied. So I went the the Smartparts software (that came with the frame) and found the folder which was saved on the "d' drive. I then did a simple "copy to" "g" drive (this is where my frame was connected to. If these instructions are clear, ask again and I will try to further help you. Good Luck!

To remove a picture, connect the frame to your PC via USB. you should see the frame appear as a drive, in my case,
36972 (E:)

open the drive as Explore, you can now see the pictures, and delete what you no longer want.

you can download the software from
