First, check the manufacturer's website for the manual. You can generally enter the model number and do a search on their website.

Second, there are tons of manual websites out there. Try: http://the-manuals.com/, http://www.devicemanuals.com/, or http://www.retrevo.com/samples/index.html but there are others if you do a Google search for "manuals" or "owners manuals."

The older memory frames could only read a few MEGS of memory sticks, not Gig. That could be a problem, these were made cheap so the latest and greatest parts were not used. Plus newer cameras are 4 mb per image rather then the 600K of older cellphones/cameras. That may be a problem too. You can reduce the SIZE of the image to 800x600 rather then the 3K or 4K many cameras now take. There is a free program called PhotoFiltre (French company) that is very easy to use, free (no spyware) and only a few megs in size. Install program, go to FILE OPEN, get image on stick, choose IMAGE - SIZE and erase the width, type in 800 click OK and it will adjust the height automatically. Then choose SAVE. Your file will be smaller but you will not notice it on an 8" screen. Do this with the rest, you will then have lots of room for more. WARNING.. do this with COPIES as you cannot "re-enlarge" them ! ! And as I have said since the 90's, alwasy have 2 backup copies in separate places. Those external drive are cheap insurance.

Are the pictures you are transferring in a format that is recognizable to the picture frame? Check manual for acceptable formats. You may have to convert the files to work - but freeware is available for that so it is no sweat.

Return it for replacement

The primary software is going to extract all the images, put only the images you want on the card, then insert into your picture photo frame.

Email the photos to yourself. Open email with computer. Download jpeg attachment.

That power supply is a 9 volt power supply. Check near the plug or on the unit itself and see if it shows the polarity of the plug. You might be able to get one at radio shack. Be sure to take the bad one with you when you go. Or you can call smart parts at (888) 796-2749.
