you cant charge a nikon camera via usb port the usb port is data only


please reply and try to use a nikon coolpix s3000 charger

Hi, With auto mode on that camera that is normal I've found. Auto mode on that camera seems to leave the shutter open just long enough to capture the tiniest bit of motion. If you're looking to shoot in a mode where that doesn't happen I suggest shooting in sports mode or kids mode.

Your camera came with a separate battery charger, didn't it? Plugging a camera with a dead battery into a computer won't get you very far. Charge the battery first.

You can change this in the menu while in shooting mode. This is from page 48 of the manual:

Choose how the camera focuses.

A (auto) M d (Shooting menu) M I Autofocus mode

A Single AF (default setting)

The camera focuses when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.

B Full-time AF

The camera focuses continuously until the shutter-release button is pressed down

halfway. Use with moving subjects. The sound of lens drive movement will be heard

while the camera focuses.

The camera won't show a battery status until the level drops below some threshold. See the "Step 1: Turn the Camera On and Select Auto Mode" section of the manual (page 22 in my copy) for what the indicators look like.

You shouldn't have to try to fix a new camera. Take advantage of the warranty.

Hi , In self timer is found in function set /press function set ,navigate the knob to drive mode , navigate knob to 10 seconds , click the shooter of camera then then okey.

I believe it can be, I have mine disassembled, but I cannot figure out what type of battery it is.
