Whole Unit blinks, only while driving!

My girlfriend just recently had a Kenwood KDC-MP205 cd player installed in her car (by her dad). It worked perfectly fine while parked, but once she starts driving more than a couple of miles per hour, the whole unit will blink on and off with nothing on the display and nothing playing. When she first told me I assumed it was a loose wire so it was loosing power as the car moved because the wire was moving around, but it's actually blinking in a steady pattern as if it's notifying you of an error, but I can't find reports of this anywhere, and it's definately not in the manual. I'm stumped! Any ideas?
