I have a Kenwood KDC-X789
First of all you will need to disconnect the unit from its power supply leave it disconnected for a while in case it has an internal back up battery you can find a code online for your radio if you have lost the original you will need the unit model number and serial number from the unit as well there is a few online places to choose from they vary from a cpl of dollars to 10 bucks depending on how quick you need the code.

What button should I push if I don't have an "auto" button, both on the remote or the head unit? I have a dNx-5140. All help would be appreciated.
