How to update cmos setting of my motherboard - ASUS P5PE-VM Motherboard

You have to double check the cmos or bios settings which the audio are enabled mostly on integrated peripherals inside of you bios! Tap DEL key to enter bios setup.If the audio settings are enabled other solution is to upgrade your bios firmware. You can actually download the update from MSI official website. But be careful while updating your bios firmware, be sure to download the exact model of the motherboard and you must have back up battery or UPS while performing flashing your cmos because if interrupted while flashing causes of fluctuation your motherboard will be dead set.Always remember to back up your cmos before flashing it. After flashing your cmos, install again you downloaded audio driver. The audio driver must be compatible with your operating system in order to install the driver. Hope this works for you!

This error comes when there is low cmos voltage so motherboard flash memory forgot the bios settings.
For that open cpu and then pull cmos cell from mother board buy new cmos cell and replaced it.
Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key to enter in bios and set time and date and boot option in bios then save settings.
Then it works again if it not works then you need to update firmware for your bios .

Have you tried to update the bios? One of the latest versions BIOS Update [DPP3510J.86A] 07/15/09. But verify to ensure that you download the correct bios for your board. There are a few options available. Also check the jumper pins for the bios on the motherboard normal or (default) setting is pins 1-2 jumped.

make sure your using new cmos battery not yet been use and then set date in your bios and save it after finish.
still doesn't work?
try update your cmos that migth be the problem note! remember always take care of the risk on updating flashing cmos on power interuption never power off if still flashing. or if you update and flush it before it might be a bad flash of your cmos try bring it up to early state or restore your backup cmos firmware or download it to its main manufacture

Just change your CMOS battery with a new one and after that goto the bios settings and update the time and dare.
After that just save the settings and then check that the warning message is coming or not.

If its coming then it means you need to change the CMOS jumper settings.
