Could be that fb is just too busy now that last nght's revellers have slept it off and are all hopping back on line...to find out how they really made out.

If you're seeing an error message saying your password reset link is invalid:
Try copying and pasting the full link you received into your address bar. Some email providers will separate the link onto several lines, so be sure to copy the entire link.
In order to keep your account safe, we only let you request a new password a certain number of times each day. Please wait 24 hours and then try to reset your password again. Also, check your email's spam or junk folder.
Enter the 2 words with a space between the 2 and enter your email address. This will reset your password. You will have to go to your email and click a link and then change your password.
Note: Do not make your password something tooeasy. There are hackers everywhere and they try a number of frequently used passwords to try to get into others accounts. I don't want to scare you, just keep your account secure.
somebody sent me a link on facebook,i didnt click it or even get a chance to see it but facebook is now frozen,it wasnt a malisious link only a facebook web page.the browser is ok as others can use facebook on my pc,help, its not a solution but maybe a better idea of whats happening
Ok, I've played around some more and got it working.
As stated earlier, I am on 3 wireless, but am now using Optus DNS servers. Anyone can find out how to change their DNS settings and this will work ... but these instructions are specifically for those other users on 3 wireless ...
Close your browser/s.
At your 3 Mobile Broadband window, click on Settings then Network Connection Settings..., click on New and type Optus (or any name at all) in the Profile Name box. Keep all other settings, but change the following:
Change the DNS Settings from Dynamic to Static with these: Primary 211.29.132.12 and Secondary 198.142.0.51.
Change APN to static and type in 3netaccess.
Connect, reopen your browser (I used IE this time and it worked) and try a few normal sites ot make sure it's working. Then try Facebook. It worked for me.
Everyone else - i.e. those using an ADSL modem - probably just change the DNS settings from Dynamic to Static and plug in the above numbers and I reckon you'll have success. If not, then at least you know I'm on the right track and you just have to tweak it a bit more.
