My audio device is not working. so i want to sound driver for it.

Hello,
You can download all the drivers you need for Lenovo 3000 Y410 Laptop from the below link
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68104.html#audio

Just scroll down the page for Audio drivers for both win XP and Vista, click on the blue version number to download the one you want.

Note : Incase you have win XP,some people has issues installing the xp driver with sp3 installed, the driver seems to work with only sp1 and sp2.So if u have SP3 and unable to install xp driver, do one of the following.
1) Uninstall SP3 and install SP2 and then try installing the driver for XP
2) Download Vista driver and install it with windows compatibility mode set to XP SP2.

I have notebook Compaq 6715b with Windows XP (no SP2). Sound doesnt work. drivers from HP official site not working

Hello,

trust me, the fault is from the win xp SP2. I am saying this with confidence and out of experience. Except if the audio drivers you downloaded is for win vista.

While running the Win xp, some files make have skipped/not installed which is making the sound not to work. Or maybe you have initially installed a wrong audio driver.

To solve this problem. you have to re-run the win xp, if possible, use another xp Cd, maybe not Sp2.

After installation, let the audio driver be the fist thing you install.

Take care.

Pl check the whether all driver from OEM have been installed including MB and try to reinstall the driver it should work fine. or reinstall the SP2 for win XP. then install the OEM driver again, this should work, else there might be hardware problem.

In place of vista i installed xp(sp2),after that sound problem.

In order to install the HD Audio driver, you have to install the Microsoft HD Driver (Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. that said, here's the XP driver for the sound:
