nokia 5130: when I try to turn on the phone, the screen goes white and

Same problem here!.... Still looking for an answer, but since mine is just 2 months old I think I'll get the old mobile out of the drawer and send this one back for repairs.. :'
Remove the battery and the SD memory card, check the card for corrupt/virus infected files that have corrupted the software. Now have it scanned on your PC and remove/format the card.
Reset to the phone and check , if the fault comes back then the software must be installed on the phone. have this done at the Nokia care/support center.
Possible that the software of the phone is corrupt or a possible hardware is defective.
You can remove the battery and memory card, have the card scanned for virus. replace battery after 15 minutes so that the phone is reset.
if the phone wont boot back the services of the Nokia support must be sought for reinstalling the software.
