My w810i was in washing machine for 2 min now i hav dried completely can it be repaired, The battery has red mark near those terminals and also phone circuit board also has a red mark. What can be done can the circuits be replaced. My location is India Bengalooru

Good question, because connecting it the wrong way can damage the starter, the battery, or both! The red cable connector clamps to the positive terminal, and the black cable clamps to the negative terminal. On a new battery, it is often easy to tell which is positive by their markings (+) = positive and (-) is negative. In reality, the markings may be difficult to see. The red or positive post is larger in diameter. The black or negative post is a ground so you can follow it from the post to somewhere solid on the metal frame of the car.

Note the cross on the top of the battery post.

If it's a side terminal battery which GM cars used for a while it should be marked on the top of the battery or on the front with its respective sign. Otherwise you can look at the cable that's connected to it which are usually color coded. Red is positive and black is negative."

The battery terminals have a plus (+) and minus (-) symbol somewhere near the terminal studs. If you cannot find them, use a multimeter set to a proper DC Range. Place the probes on the studs. If the meter reads the voltage, then red probe is on the positive terminal, if the meter pulls backwards the black probe is on the positive terminal.

If using a digital multimeter, a (-) says that the red probe is on the negative terminal.

Mark your battery with a Sharpie somewhere to show the terminal studs.

Sounds like the 'lid lock' has shorted out. They're not completely waterproof and have seen pins completely blown out inside them. Should measure 73 ohms (or very close to it) across the terminals. Hope this helps.

Assuming you have a battery charger. Do not plug charger in until after it is connected.
1. Open hood & locate battery.
2. Identify the positive terminal of the battery (usyally has a red cover or red marking.
The battery has side terminals (not posts like nonGM batteries)
4. Connect the + red clamp the the positive terminal wiggle it a little to get good connection.
5. Connect the negative black clamp to the engine block, a handy bracket on engine or the negative terminal on the battery. DO NOT CONNECT TO ALTERNATOR
6. Be sure connections are secure.
7. Plug in charger it should show charging. Leave it over night
8. Before disconnecting charger disconnect power to the charger.

THE FUMES OF A BATTERY ARE EXPLOSIVE DO NOT USE FLAMES NEAR BATTERY
DO NOT ALLOW SPARKS NEAR BATTERY!

Hi just read your posting.Is the black marks oil or lint?Has the machine been noisy on spin?If the marks are lint then try this !--Buy 2 pkt of Bicarb of soda. 2--Select high water fill.3--Select hot water fill. 4--Pour bicarb into empty machine.5---Push the start button. 6--Let it fill then wash for 5 to 10 mins. 7--Turn off the machine and do not let the water that is the machine drain.8--Now the machine sit overnight with the water that has bicarb in it .9-- In the morning put it throe a complete cycle and it should be free of lint and dirt.Please reply if you need further help or if the marks are oil.Looking forward to see how you got on.

two things.

first,
you can remove your battery and have it charge somewhere else if you dont have a home charger or if you have a home charger, you can just hook up the red cable to the positive terminal of the battery and the black cable to the negative terminal.

second,
if you have a jumper cable, these cables have a pair of black and red alligator clips, use them to connect another car's battery in parallel to yours.

use a pair in your battery, put the red one in your positive terminal and put the black one in the negative terminal. be careful that the other pair on the other end dose not touch with each other. somebody should be holding them apart.

then o the other end where there is a good battery, start the car , now put the black clip to the negative terminal of the battery and then put the red clip to the positive terminal.
there should be a spark as you put the last red clip so be careful.

let it be for about 15-20 mins. you can rev up the running cars from time to time.

then after 2- min, you can start your car.

you will only fry your computer if there is a wrong lead on a wrong terminal so be very careful in choosing which terminal is positive and which is negative.

havent you got any insurance on it? You usually get 6-12 months insurance incase anything goes wrong you can get a new or get your orginal phone repaired, check on your receipt if you have still got it x jo

you should take the phone...to a repair center and have your phone service and also replace the battery, if the battery has a red spot on it the you need to replace it.

the wire that is live goes to terminal "l". check which of the other two is neutral and put it on terminal "n". (it is probably the thinner of the two red wires) the remainong wiree goes to terminal "c". usually there is a little circuit diag on the interlock and this may help you
