I suggest trying the following, in Word

  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Options tab.
  2. Click Reset menu and toolbar usage data.
Please let me know if this is helpful or if you would like further assistance. Thank you.

Sorry that did not work for you, but I do appreciate your feedback.

Could you please try the below:

    In Word, go to

        View / Toolbars / Customise

Choose the Commands tab, under Categories scroll all the way down to Built in Menus

Now on the right you should see all the commands - File, Edit, View, etc ....

Highlight File, click and drag it up to your menu bar - right where it used to be.

        Choose Close

If you are prompted to save your normal.dot file, please do so.
Again, I hope his works for you. If it does not, please let me know and we'll try something else. Thank you.

In the right hand pane you will see the File, edit, view etc.. commands
you wish to restore back to MenuBar. Highlight the one you want and
drag it up onto the MenuBar itself. And Hey presto it should be back.
Do this as often as you like for as many commands as you like.

I just removed all my commands and replaced them again.

I lost file, edit, view ,history ,etc; and it doesn't show previous page or next page in upper left corner. What did I do to hide all of this?

I am assuming this is a problem with Internet Explorer. To fix this, move you mouse to an empty part of a toolbar near the top (But not right at the top) of the screen.

Right-click and you should see a drop-down menu, left click on "menu bar" and you should see you file, edit, view history buttons reappear.

I have lost the file,edit,view,history,bookmarks,tools,help...toolbars..i don't know how i get them all back..

That is the browser "menu bar", with dropdown menus for various tasks.

If the menu bar does not display, press the "Alt" key (if you are using Windows). That will restore the menu bar temporarily. You may then proceed to restore it permanently, by going to the menu bar and selecting: View > Toolbars > Menu bar

For more details, see this Mozilla support page

I seem to have lost my toolbar that has the forward/back button and the addy box... the bookmarks are gone and the File/View/tools also. I have windows 7 and I am using firefox

If you are in firefox and press F10 that should show your "File, edit, view etc" bar.

Alt + V to display your "View" menu and then turn back on your toolbars in the "Toolbars" menu

All my toolbars are gon even the view option ones how do i restore my address bar back now ?

Bring up Mozilla Firefox, and just before you get to the blue bar running across the top of Mozilla Firefox, right click the mouse button. It may take a couple of tries. Once a selection box appears next to the mouse, you should notice that the menu bar selection probably doesn't have a check mark next to it. Stroll down and highlight the menu bar selection, and with a left click of the mouse a check mark should appear next to it. This should cause "File Edit, View, etc." to all reappear. You probably don't have a check mark next to Navigation Toolbar either so, open the View tab and left click the Navigation Toolbar location. Upon completion of last instructions the address bar, refresh and back and forward should all reappear.

My address bar, refresh button, back and forward arrows etc. have disappeared. Why has this happened and how do I get them back?

You are missing your navigation toolbar. Hopefully you still have the menu bar where it say's, "File Edit, View etc." Move your mouse up to the View tab and left click that tab. That menu should open. Slide down to toolbar and items like Menu Bar, Navigation Toolbar should have check marks beside them. You probably don't have a check mark next to Navigation Toolbar so, left click that location. Upon completion of last instructions the address bar, refresh and back and forward should all reappear.

While trying to change settings on my computer I lost the Browser bar ie. file, edit, bookmark, icon for home forward and back feature, address bar

Most probably you pressed the F11 key in the upper key row on your keyboard, and it entered "full screen" mode.
Press F11 to exit full screen mode, this should do the trick.

If this is not the case, please come back and write a comment to that effect, we'll try to assist you further.
Good luck :)

I have lost my Menu Bar and have tried going to the Control Panel

try using your menu key on your keyboard. its next to the Ctrl key, that will bring up your start menu which shuld also show the task bar. right click on the task bar and click on properties. make sure "auto hide Task bar is not checked. and lock task bar. you may also have lowered it below your view. try moving your mouse pointer down at the bottom of the screen and see if your pointer turns into an arrow., if it does hold the left mouse button and move it up untill your task bar shows.
