I lost my mobile phone today and i dont know the imei number so im screwed but i know that who ever has it cant get into it because i put passwords on it

i think ,you should,put default password of nokia as-1234.
otherwise consult your mobile to nearest nokia care office.

You may try default phone and security code to remove restrictions.
ur defalt phones codes is 12345 or 00000 u can use it
Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

Hi , I am happy that you know your IMEI no. Its possible to trace a mobile if you have your lost phones IMEI no. First thing what you got to do is get your sim card disabled by your service provider.You need to go to your Service Provider and give them your cell phones IMEI no. Who ever has your cell phone will swich it on and put his sim in your mobile then your service provider will trace the mobile down.

prabir, are you in India? the law here says that you must lodge an FIR with the police station where you lost the phone, to include the IMEI number. In the FIR you must ask them to approach the service provider to 1. locate the approximate location of the thief/finder and 2. to block the IMEI number. If you cant use it, why should someone else. The phone could only be used as a paper weight. it is very difficult to find a lost mobile phone unless you ar very lucky. all the best anyway.

While your service provider has some capability to trace the IMEI number vs SIM number being used in phones and the capability to triangulate where it is being used, because of privacy laws, this information is not given to customers. This information is only given to law enforcement with the proper sopeana paperwork. I suggest you call your provider and put a lost/stolen feature on the device so it cannot be used. You can then replace the device either by purchasing a new phone and sim or using insurance if you have that feature.

ok mate dont worry it happens to us all ok i dont know anytin about tracein but i do kno you can shut the phone down so no one else can use it just go to the phone shop were you got it and tell them the number of your phone and they will be able to knock it off for you and hope this info helps also dont forget to rate me .

As far as I know IMEI numbers are like registration numbers, they dont actually trace. I know with modems etc that have IMEI numbers they cant be traced. At telstra IMEI numbers were only like a registration number, my suggestion is to cancel the phone. only a suggestion though....
